As the rays of your holy love
Are hidden by gathering clouds

In it's fetid, futile form
Surrounded by greed and jealousy
Existence, so poor.
I feel the plague as it eats my flesh
And rots me from the inside
Leaving me hollow
And broken

It's curse of the mind
Which is rooted
In mankind
It brings the spirit
To it's knees
Where it begs for the mercy of all man
As I fall to the earth
Like an angel cast away
For only wanting the freedom
Of those
Who worship me
It stands against reason
That free will isn't free
And as I lie on the ground
the people worship me
Existence is a candle
In an omnipresent void
It's wax running out
Soon snuffed and dark
And our hope grows faint
Soon lost to peril
And I fear for the children
In future generations
For the future is cursed
And striken by greed
and jealousy
And tormented by the curses
Of money, greed and creed
Yet they follow me
Into the darkness
Of hell
And apostasy
The willing sacrifice
Of soul and purity
Brings me such esctascy
And pleasure
And glee
Bring the pure to me
let them writhe
In filth
And humanity
Fueled by their lust
and betrayal
of every god

I've been a huge fan of this band since hearing 'Campfires', an album which I've played to death! This one is a little different in a way, and it took me sooooo long to get in to, but once it clicked, holy shit did it click. Sea Fire is an absolute banger that evokes sounds of Filosofem era Burzum and Mystifier to my ears...not a bad mix at all. I love 'Ghostly Shores' so much I bought the CD and the Cassette and now I eagerly await whatever comes next from OCR.

Simple Black Metal with great atmosphere. Other than the studio version of "For the Glory of Satan" the live version really rocks! One of the rare tracks that together with "Gut the church" have burned themselves into my brain and I can't get them out anymore. Heathen Deity might be one of the most underrated BM bands of all times, delivering 2 tracks that should be on every BM playlist.
